Gas electric generation


The “Rivne 50” project is an ambitious initiative of the UKRTEPLO group of companies aimed at providing Rivne with its own electricity with a capacity of 50 MW. The implementation of this project will allow covering up to 50% of the city’s electricity needs, strengthening its energy independence and resilience to external threats.
Main stages of the project:
Stage 1: Replacing natural gas with biomass
The implementation of the “GREEN TRANSITION. RIVNE” project will begin in 2019 with a focus on using local fuels instead of natural gas.
Stage 2: Decentralized cogeneration
Installation of cogeneration plants with a total capacity of 50 MW for the simultaneous production of heat and electricity.
Investments and financing:
Investment volume: about 50 million euros, including private investments and bank loans.
Memorandum of Cooperation: signed between the UKRTEPLO group of companies and the Rivne City Council on the implementation of the project.
